When the Office of the Complaints Commissioner first opened its doors to the public in December 2004, Mrs. von Gerhardt was a member of the original three person team. She assisted with the establishment of the office, working not only as the Executive Assistant to the Commissioner, but was also responsible for office administration and book-keeping at the time. She possesses extensive knowledge of the operations and functions of the office.  Bridgette was appointed as an Investigator in 2012. 

Previously Bridgette worked in accounting and office administration.  Bridgette also speaks Spanish and is able to assist Spanish speaking persons who wish to file a complaint with the Office, but may require translation services. 

She received her qualification as a qualified Paralegal through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in London. She has also successfully completed OSHA Training in Occupational Safety and Health in Construction Safety and Health, and Investigative Training conducted by the Ontario Ombudsman Office. Bridgette is currently studying law at the Truman Bodden Law School. 

Bridgette is a serving member of the Cayman Islands Branch of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, where she serves in the capacity of Secretary to the Branch.
