Ms. Christian has commendable experience from employment in the public and private sectors. She worked as a public servant for over 16 years, as a former teacher, senior roles in ship registration and statutory compliance, and over 7 years of experience in the financial sector.  Ms. Christian was called to the Cayman Islands Bar in 2013 but is currently not a practicing attorney.

Andrea lived and studied overseas where she obtained a BA in Economics (Brock University, Ontario, Canada), a Diploma in Education (UWI, Jamaica), an LLB (Hons) from Truman Bodden Law School, and a Masters in Maritime Law (University of Southampton, England).

Since January 2022, she supplemented her qualifications and experience with professional development courses that include a Certificate as an Internal Auditor from BSI (UK), a Diploma in Maritime Leadership and Management (Kent College, UK), TCM Accredited Investigator and Qualified Mediator. She is acutely aware of the importance of efficient management by entities responsible for implementing legal processes and procedures, to ensure legal, fair, and impartial treatment. As such, she welcomes the opportunity to continue serving her community as an Investigator in the Office of the Ombudsman.
