Daiana was appointed Deputy Ombudsman in the Information Rights Division in 2025. She brings over a decade of experience in data protection, information governance, and regulatory compliance, having worked across both public and private sectors in the UK.

In her previous roles, Daiana led high-performing teams of subject matter experts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development. She has extensive experience in people management, including coaching, mentoring, and resource planning, and is passionate about empowering individuals to reach their full potential.

She has advised senior leadership on complex information rights matters, managed high-profile data protection and freedom of information cases, overseen data breach responses, delivered training on information governance, and liaised with regulatory authorities.

Daiana holds a Data Protection Practitioner Certificate from the BCS Chartered Institute and is currently completing her Freedom of Information Practitioner Certificate. She is fluent in Romanian and English, with additional language skills in Spanish, Hungarian, French, and Italian.

Daiana is passionate about upholding individuals’ information rights and is committed to promoting transparency, fairness, and trust in public service.
